BYLT is a competitive gaming platform for 1v1 duels. You challenge another player, you both play one short game, and the first one to reach first blood, first tower or 100 CS wins. Both players pay the same entry, the winner takes the prize, and the game data decides who that is. Nobody reports a score by hand.
Everyone has a friend who claims they'd win a 1v1, a duo partner who swears they're the better player, a rival in chat who won't stop talking. BYLT is where that gets settled. Talk is cheap. Settle it 1v1.
How a BYLT duel works
- Create your account on play.bylt.gg and install the BYLT app on the PC you play on.
- Sign in to your game client. The app links your game account to BYLT on its own. No password ever goes through BYLT.
- Find an opponent. Post an open challenge, accept someone else's, or queue in ranked to get matched with a player near your rating.
- Play. The app creates the game, invites your opponent and starts it. Every duel is all random, so neither player picks their champion.
- The first objective wins. First blood, first tower or 100 CS: the first one reached ends the duel. Both apps read the game data, and when they agree the duel settles at once.
The whole thing usually takes a few minutes. For the details of each step, see how it works, and for the exact win conditions, read the duel rules.
Why three objectives at once
A classic 1v1 has one rule, and that rule shapes the whole game. First blood only rewards all-ins. 100 CS only rewards farming. First tower rewards pushing. BYLT keeps all three live at the same time, so a duel tests everything: trading, wave control, timing and nerve. You can win by outplaying, out-farming or out-pushing your opponent, and you have to defend against all three. We wrote a full guide on how a BYLT duel is won.
Why the game data decides
Self-reported results are where most 1v1 arrangements fall apart: someone disconnects, someone claims the other one cheated, nobody agrees on what happened. On BYLT, each player's app reads the game data from their own client during the duel. When both apps agree, the result is final. When they don't, or the data isn't conclusive, a moderator reviews the game data and the evidence both players upload.
Fair by design
- All random. Each player gets a random champion, so nobody brings a counterpick or a one-trick. Why every duel is all random.
- Same entry on both sides. The winner takes both entries. Duels have no fee.
- Dodges have a cost. Leaving champion select resets the duel with new champions. The first dodge of the day is free, the next ones cost coins.
- No-shows are covered. If a player isn't in the lobby within 10 minutes, the duel is cancelled and both entries are returned in full.
Ranked, ladder and tournaments
Every duel moves your BYLT rating. Seasons reset the board, so there is always a new number one to take down. And when one opponent isn't enough, tournaments put you in a single-elimination bracket where every match is a normal BYLT duel.
Who can play
BYLT is open to players 18 or older, where taking part in skill competitions with an entry fee is allowed. It runs on Windows 10 and 11, with a Mac version coming, and supports the EUW and NA regions. One BYLT account per person.
